(retro)Tweeting
I've brought (retro)blog back via Twitter! Now you can enjoy
mortifying and melodramatic excerpts from my adolescent journals 140
characters at a time:
6/18/85 NOBODY (boys) LIKES ME. I think I'll become a nun. Then they
only men you hang out with are priests and they CAN'T like you.
6/24/84: I wish I had a boyfriend.(Mom says I'm too young to like boys
already!) It's not fair that some girls have at least 89 boyfriends.
6/14/87 I just heard the lamest song.If a guy gyrated his pelvis,
called ME pussycat and asked ME what's new, I'd knee him in the groin.
Ew.

My Next Novel
When I'm not (retro)Tweeting, I'll be spending the rest of 2009
working on my next novel. Here's the official announcement via
HarperCollins:
Alessandra Balzer at Balzer & Bray/HarperCollins Children’s Books
acquired World English rights to New York Times bestselling author
Megan McCafferty’s new novel in a two-book deal from Heather Schroder
at ICM. BUMPED is a sharply funny and provocative dystopian novel set
in a world where only teens are able to have babies, and are
contracted by adults to carry them to term.
That's already more about this book than I want to say! (For now.)
Perfect Publication
Thanks to everyone who came to my events for PERFECT FIFTHS and
celebrated the silliness of Barry-oke:
Weekend In New England (B&N Brick, NJ)
A special thank you to all the readers who assured me that I provided
a satisfying and surprising conclusion to the Jessica Darling series.
I'm sad to say goodbye to these characters but even more excited to
welcome new ones into my life. I hope you are too.
As always, thanks for reading.
