Happy Memorial Day! We are a Magic 5.64 site and are wondering how others have anesthesia documenting the medications that they give. I am wondering if anyone has successful written a report in 6.x Report Designer that will:

1. Allow you find all the Documentation Sections that a specific query is on

2. Allow you find all the Interventions that a Documentation Section is on

We used to have reports like this in C/S but they aren't standard anymore and my Report Designer writer is pretty new to PCS.

This was during the early days of internet connectivity at our organization. We had a telephone link to our ISP through a DOS based PC called the gatekeeper which logged all the sites that were visited. Every morning we had a tech who would review the list, and if any of the sites were not familiar, he would navigate to them, and if it was not clearly business-related, would pass this information on to the department manager. One day he got a hit from the PC in the medical staff office where someone had visited a rather anatomically rich site. Armed with this, he dashed off to the VP of medical staff. The reaction was swift and decisive – before the day was over there were techs working an order to install a modem on that PC with a totally separate unmonitored connection to the internet.

We are C/S 5.64 pp21 and there is no generic equivalent field. : (
I have
*Trade Name
Brand Name
Generic

Filling in Brand name doesn't show in RXM prescription writing.
Any C/S sites that know what I might be doing wrong?

Here's another RXM horror story for you all and I'm thanking heaven it affected only Test. When we were moving forward to upgrading to 5.64, I was on surgical leave. We had a consultant here who loaded the FDB info which is neither here nor there as he was sharp and I have no doubt he didn't do anything wrong. In Test, it inactivated any prescription meds that were not on formulary, leaving us with only PHA-linked meds and OTCs and odd stuff like "Solvil Powder Sachet". I was scared to death it was going to happen in Live. They can't fix it. I can't "play" in Test like I'd like to . Updating with a new FDB disc does nothing. Those things are inactivated forevermore.

 Hi, Kelly,

For #1, you could use a reimbursement management rule that automatically
moves the money when Medicaid is secondary and the primary hasn’t
paid/denied within X number of days. You might also explore the Auto
Rebill Delay setting in the Claims dictionary.

For #2, I think Meditech could probably create a claim check that looks at

I had our Pyxis integration engineer build a unique Order Lag Time for
just one time orders. They can build that into the .INI file on the
Pyxis side. This will keep the ONCE ONE orders from discontinuing after
one minute. If you are going to CPOE later, it is a must to use ONCE
ONE orders. Hope that helps.

We have to get a custom to keep the Unverified
medications off of our emar. I would think that something like this

Yes, I don't remember how. Your PHA specialist should know. I think this is something they set for you.
Our unverified orders do NOT show on eMAR but neither I nor my PCS cohort can remember how to do that, just that we remember answering "no" to a verbal question asking about it. So, we are assuming an MT specialist would do this. Where you can view this parameter, neither one of us know. We can't find it.
