[MT-L] eMAR Administration Report - meds selection

Good Morning!

I am being asked to write a report similar to the eMAR Administration
Report, but it needs to have the medications as a selection.

I am looking into the meditech report database but was wondering if anyone
has done anything like this, or has any suggestion on how to get this

We are a Magic 5.64 multi facility hospital that require separate MRN at each facility. When transferring from one facility to the other, we encounter the same issue. We are working closely with Admissions staff to get the receiving location account number created immediately upon receiving the transfer order. Once the account number is available, the physician can then use the transfer function to place orders. These orders will sit in limbo until the patient actually arrives to the facility and is placed in the room and the nurse "receives" the orders.

We have a form built in PCS that the nurses fill out electronically and bring with the specimen. Then our Histology staff actually enters the order.

I would like to know how other 6.x sites are currently receiving and processing orders for pathology specimens (cytogyn, non-gyn, and surgicals). I would also like to know if you are able to receive and process electronic orders.

We were using Meditech's mobile phlebotomy but the lab staff hated it. Even though I am a staunch Meditech user, this software is definitely not the best. If you have any say in what will be used for your lab I would certainly look at Iatric's MobiLab. That is really the Cadillac of software for mobile lab. Their prices are great and even better than that....their service is OUTSTANDING. That being said, we did use Meditech's software with Code 4100 handheld devices.

Has anyone taken the new DTS's to their c/s environment yet for the Medicare ruling in which G-code/modifier combinations have to be showing on claims as of 7/1 for Rehab services? I'm wondering how you handled it as far as inpatients goes and where you had to capture the data. Any help would be appreciated.

We are a c/s 5.65 critical access hospital struggling with the transfer of orders from one account to another with the change in patient status. We can use the transfer routine when the patients retain the same account number (i.e. from observation to IP for patients with commercial insurance), but cannot transfer for patients requiring new account numbers (for MC/MA patients). When we are unable to transfer, the physicians are required to wait until the patient has been admitted to their new location.

We are in the process of setting up our portal (combined Meditech/LSS product). No formal decision has been made about exactly who will be doing the hospital and proxy enrollment types, but it will not be IS staff. There are not enough of us to do that. I feel that this is a function of our release of information staff in the department formerly known as medical records (yes, I am dating myself). I also picture having someone at our clinics walking around waiting rooms with an I-Pad or tablet helping people sign up.

I am really confused as to who will create PT portal access as for now all
dictionaries are being maintained by IT Department. How are other hospitals
are tackling this issue as my understanding by reading online material is
that you can have self enrollment or create patient's access manually.

Is it possible for the software to run on the device itself, or do you
need it loaded on a Mobile Citrix server? Do your phlebotomists need to
connect to the Citrix server remotely to utilize the software?
