[MT-L] MAGIC: Setting up a reference lab

We're needing to figure out what we need to do with our reference lab
work (keep it going & attempt to expand the business, or get rid of it
entirely). We're not currently set up to accept electronic orders from
an outside clinic or send discrete data results to them. We either get
a faxed order or a hand-carried order from a clinic, then we fax the
results.

We've gotten quotes from MEDITECH and others on setting this up, and
we're apparently missing something. So, those of you who act as a
reference lab, could you spare me some time to talk about how you set it
up?
