I have been asked to gather some information from other Meditech
hospitals and would appreciate any and all feedback you may have for me.
This is centered around software standardization. With the removal of
MOX from the conversion to 6.0, we are going to have to make some
changes and I value the opinions and practices of this group.
Anyone who responds to my questions I will be happy to provide you a
summary of all of the responses I receive.
If you are willing to participate, please answer the questions below and
provide any comments you may have.
1) If you were (or are) using MOX, what are your plans for email
when you convert to 6.0? What email platform will you standardize for
your facility?
2) What do you use for word processing?
3) What do you use for spreadsheets?
4) Do all of your users have access to email?
5) If all users do NOT have access to email, how do you determine
who gets email?
6) How do you publish policies and procedures for all employees to
access? (hardcopy or electronic)
a. If electronic how are you doing this?
7) If your users kept text documents in cabinets in MOX, what
method did you use to convert their data to whatever new word processor
you are using?
8) I would welcome any procedures, suggestions, or ideas you have
to convert from MOX.
In our situation about 95% of the users have MOX for messaging. A small
percentage of this group heavily use the cabinet to store emails
historical reasons and some departments have all of their policies and
procedures in MOX cabinets. We are scheduled for software delivery of
6.0 in August 2011, so I have 1 year to make this conversion happen, but
want to take advantage of opinions from anyone who has done this or
anyone who is planning for this now.
