[MT-L] Code Corp scanners for BMV

We are going to 6.0 with BMV and we are looking at scanners for our facility. We currently have laptops on wheels in every patient room. We are trying to decide if we would like a scanner in each patient room or if we need to just have a scanner for each working nurse. We are looking at the CR1200 vs. the CR2500 Code Corp scanners. I'd just like to know if you've had any experience with either of these scanners, if you have scanners for each room or just per staff member, and if they are tethered or wireless. Any other info you'd like to share would be appreciated

Hello Samantha;

We are using the CR2500's wireless very successfully. We piloted
tethered scanners, but in every case the USB port on the computer was
broken when a tethered scanner was used. I expect they were used like
leashes and used to pull the computers around. Our Infection Control
department and most Nurses Surveyed after 5 months live preferred the
wireless scanners.

We try to put one scanner per computer, but have a mixed case. Some
computers have a scanner, some don't. We also have extra SINGLE BAY
chargers (don't use the dual bay for anything but batteries) around so
nurses don't have to hunt for a charger.

There are setups and configurations you will need to work though once
you get the scanners, but at this point Code has a lot of Meditech
experience. I will be happy to send our configuration codes to help.
