We are implementing Meditech 6x in May and are a new implementation of
Scanning/Archiving. Our nurses will have access to scan from the nursing
floors and we will require them to verify the document scanned is the
best copy obtainable. However, on weekend nights we have limited staff
in Medical Records to complete the verification process (AFI
verification). To have a real time chart at all times we would require
someone (Nursing?) to complete the verification process typically done
by AFI/Medical Records department. Has anyone else had this problem and
have solutions? As I nurse I am leery of requiring the second
verification be completed by nursing. Suggestions please!
