From the user perspective, what is the advantage/need to also purchase the Desktop software in addition to the mobile piece? We’re a Magic site.
Thanks for any replies/opinions.

Our nurses much prefer using the desktop version on their COWs, WOW, mobile workstations whatever name you want to call those computers on wheelie carts. They are comfortable using those because they use them all day long. Also for those of us that are aging a bit they are much easier on the eyes that the little screens especially if you want to look at your container list or collected but not received list.

Thank you,

Paul,
We are C/S, but have the desktop version for nursing; PDAa for phlebotomy. For the nurses, it would be one more piece of equipment to find and take into the room with them. Having it on the desktop is much more convenient (we have either a hardwired PC or WOW in each patient room) and easier to see (PDA screen is a bit small).

We're embarking on this project, but we have dedicated Phlebotomists collecting the specimen's so we are leaning towards the handhelds.
