Hello,

We are just beginning to set up the NUR notes function for Nursing and other ancillary depts.
I'm looking for info on some creative ways that other sites have utilized notes to pull in lab and rad results, medications, 24 hr I&O total etc. We use the Iatric Visual flowsheet which calculates the I&O totals now, so don't have that already existing as a query on a cds.

Also is anybody sending notifications to PWM -the physician desktop? If so is there any way to limit this so that the prompt doesn't appear for every note entered, maybe just for those related to a critical result for example.

Thank you for your help,

We use an attribute in the VTE Risk and Stroke Risk score to jump to nurses notes, where we then pull in canned text that automatically goes to PWM on the Doctor’s desktop. If interested I can get you the information.
