  Some numbers like Aeroquip and Stratoflex can be torn apart and &lt;br&gt; decyphered, others like Piper require a chart. I have a computer print &lt;br&gt; out that has probably 10,000 hose cross references and even using that &lt;br&gt; in my hose shop there are many that aren&#39;t included. Several thousand &lt;br&gt; are in the cross-reference tool so you might try that. You&#39;re example

  Is there a way that you can put in more information for converting &lt;br&gt; Stratoflex to Aeroquip hoses? &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Example. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Aeroquip part numbers &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;AE3663161H is same as stratoflex 124J4001-8CR- &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Would really be helpful knowing how to convert these number.

I ran MsConfig, removed a few other things that &lt;br&gt; wanted to be on the start menu... thanks for the heads up that I&#39;d &lt;br&gt; forgotten. &lt;br&gt; Mechanic&#39;s Toolbox is running as it should now. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Oh yes, I&#39;d un-installed it... re-installed it for a 2nd time.   You can run msconfig to change your startup programs. Click on the &lt;br&gt; start icon on the lower left icon. Where it says &#39;start search &lt;br&gt; (windows vista), type msconfig

  One of the dialog boxes (the one after you choose which directory you &lt;br&gt; want it installed to) during the install phase has 3 checkboxes - &lt;br&gt; uncheck the one that says &amp;quot;Add shortcut to start menu&amp;quot; &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;This is checked by default - I&#39;ll correct it so that it is unchecked &lt;br&gt; by default.

  Hi John, Buzz here. Yesterday I downloaded Mechanic&#39;s Toolbox &lt;br&gt; version 5.0 (plus a few more digits). I had a 5+ minute boot up - &lt;br&gt; get connected online cycle. That wasn&#39;t convenient. My laptop isn&#39;t &lt;br&gt; a new fast machine, and M.T. starts slowly. Adding it to the boot &lt;br&gt; cycle isn&#39;t good for me. I try ti run it &amp;quot;lean&amp;quot; on the options.

  Nothing on safety wiring. There are lots of diagrams of how to do it &lt;br&gt; but I wanted to do it with pictures. Years ago an A &amp;amp; P school I was &lt;br&gt; visiting had a board with examples. Wish I knew where I saw it as I&#39;d &lt;br&gt; take pictures of it.
