This photo was taken today on my first walk in the woods in back of my house.
On the second walk I was preceded toward home by one of the whites I had been trying to photograph. It kept ahead of me for about 1000 feet (estimate). I was surprised that it didn't turn around and go back to the opening where the dwarf ginseng and dentaria grows. They seem to cover greater areas than I suspected.
