Mount FTPS (FTP over SSL) drives?

is there any way in MacFusion or MacFuse to mount FTPS (not SSH!)
drives to encrypt the FTP connection?

http://www.macfusionapp.org/about.html lists the types of server with
which current plug-ins to Macfusion may communicate.

FTPFS is not listed, sorry.

Notes to self, and to Michael, re SSHFS: on the remote side, AFAICT,
SSH alone is not enough; there must be SFTP. I discovered this during
my first attempt to use Macfusion with CoovaAP.
