Hi,

I think the things are getting a bit confusing. Not only that the GUI
of 2.0 is ... sorry ... horrible, there is no word about the
difference between the 2.0 "project" and the google code version.

Beside of that. It looks like not all plugins which works with 1.2b3
(which I'm still using) are compatible with 2.0. I cant bring EncFS
( http://www.chuckknowsbest.com/ikrypt/ ) to work with 2.0.

So is the 1.x tree now EOL? If so it would be nice to read something
on the front page of this project!

I agree.

I too use MacFusion (and MacFUSE) mainly for EncFS. Still using 1.2b3
before plugins are made for 2.0

Thanks for the comments, folks. I see there's a need to address this.
I'm starting a new job now and so a bit busy, but I hope to take this
coming weekend to patch a tab-switching crasher bug in Macfusion 2.0.2
and address the above issue as well.

It would also be nice to have it translate 1.3 bookmarks - I was a bit
disappointed to find everything gone after the upgrade.

The new site looks nice, but now I can't find any docs on command line
options at all.

Hello,

So, what's new on that ?

Thanks for that. I have problems with encfs as well, I can't access my
encrypted data now... I'll have to revert to MacFusion 1 to be able to
fix this, which is a bit of a pity of course.

Agreed. I also found MacFusion 2 both more difficult to use and less
reliable. I've reverted to 1.2 b3.

I'd be thrilled to have a list of the compelling new features in
MacFusion 2 so that I know what I'm missing out on and can make an
educated choice.

A version with the features of 2 that follows the interface
conventions of 1 would be great.

Cheers,
Reed.

Thanks for the comments folks. For one thing, I'd like to know of the
issues that prevent you from using MF2, if they aren't already in the
tracker. If there are crashes, I'd like to know about them. If there
are features that existed in MF1 and are gone in MF2, please let me
know about those, as well. Does the mounting behavior differ for your
between MF1 and MF2? It shouldn't, and if it does please let me know.
In terms of interface, can you specify what you liked about MF1 that
MF2 changes? I tried to make MF2 easier to use, but I guess I didn't
entirely succeed in that. Specific feedback would be very helpful,
either in this thread or, even better, in Trac.

Thanks all,
Michael

I have only been using this program for a little while, and I cannot
live without it. When MF2 came out, I quickly updated, but I had to
revert to the old version 1.2B3 for one reason. The autoreconnect
option. The servers I use are always mounted, so I do not have to
worry about ejected servers then I close my mac, or when my battery
runs out. In these cases, MF 1.2B3 unmounts when my computer goes to
sleep and reconnects when it comes back online. 1.2B3 is also rock
solid, I have had no problems except for the defer permissions option
that took me a while to figure out. I will ultimately updated to take
advantage of new features in Macfuse and Macfusion, but not before the
autoreconnect option makes a come back. Finally, I must say nuff
respect to Michael for this great pieces of software, and I really
appreciate his efforts to make it better. If you come to St
Lucia(Caribbean) one day, I will buy you a bear.

Personally, the only reason I haven't upgraded is the lack of an Encfs
plugin.

I, too, will upgrade when EncFS is available.
