For collaborative *concurrent* authoring of documentation, including
but not limited to help pages for MacFusion, I have a little
experience with some of the following:

ACE
<http://ace.iserver.ch/>

Gobby
<http://gobby.0x539.de/>

Google Docs and Spreadsheets
<http://docs.google.com/>

> Safari support for Google Docs is coming soon!

MoonEdit
<http://moonedit.com/>

O3Spaces
<http://www.03spaces.org/>

SubEthaEdit
<http://www.codingmonkeys.de/subethaedit/>

Thoughtslinger
<http://www.thoughtslinger.com/> ... a cached page http://
216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:8jbsjcmefcMJ:www.thoughtslinger.com/
learn.php+site:www.thoughtslinger.com+java&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=uk
reveals that Thoughtslinger is (or was) written in Java.

Windows executables such as Thoughtslinger will probably be fine in
CrossOver Mac <http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/>.

FWIW I'll tend towards something with:

* the grace of SubEtheEdit

* plus the richness of ODF

* minus a GUI that leads users to inadvertently distribute
documents with undesirable hidden comments (did someone say
"Word"?).

Easier said than done!

Some of the above are (ahem) quirky, but have potential. If you'd
like to join me in a test of fitness for purpose, for one or more of
the above -- or alternatives -- then

<http://www.meetomatic.com/> and
<http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meeting.html>

could be first steps towards finding mutually convenient dates and
times.

There are plenty of other solutions. Although MacFusion-devel is
naturally Mac-oriented, my experience (over-focus) on the cross-
platform stuff stems from the Access Grid environment in which I'm
occasionally placed.

Cheers
Graham
