-------- Original Message -------- Subject: [TuesdayThursdayRide] Found in PQ Date: Wed, 17 Aug 2011 09:53:48 -0700 From: Aannestad, Anders T. <AAannes...@mofo.com>
I know this may generate many gag responses, which could be fun in itself, but for the sake of Karma, let me know if you (or pass this on to other groups) lost a valuable item on the trails in PQ. If someone can identify it by item, date, and possible location, I will be happy to return it. Best response gets a second prize, like a Starbucks card, or an ancient cycling item from my garage. Best, -Anders

I believe what you found is a small, poorly-tanned leather sack, containing the withered remains of my poor old balls. I did in fact lose them in PQ Canyon, as they were torn from me as I tumbled over the Bullmoose bars of my 30-year-old Ritchey on a trail descent. As a man, I can understand how you would assume they are a "valuable item" worthy of reuniting with their owner. I assure you, though, that I have no more use for them. I will never again find the courage to stay with suspended bikes on full-tilt-boogey rocky downhills. Where once I bombed shoulder-to-shoulder with Fisher and Kelly at Crested Butte, now I'm consumed with fear and doomed to creep squealy-braked and snail-paced down the hills. So, with grattitude for your offer of their return, I politely decline.
Perhaps your dog needs a new chew toy? Assuming, of course, you have a very small dog.
