Hello all,

It's been a long while since I played with my Mobo so I decided to
run through the test procedures in the build notes. While running
through the tests I came across an error at P11, I measure 0v From
Pin1 to Pin2, Also at P30, when measuring for voltage with respect to
Pin4 all Pins 1-3 show a voltage of 0.13. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob

Start at the beginning.
Measure +5V at VO of the 7805 regulator
Measure 3.3V at output of 3.3V regulator on SR6.3 board
if not present separate MoBo and 6.3 apply 12V to 6.3
and look for 3.3V at regulator and header under dip switch of
SRS6.3 If 3.3V is OK then find short circuit on MoBo
if not look for short circuit or faulty 3.3V reg on SR6.3

Ok perhaps that's where I made my mistake, I did that with the SR6.3ng
not attached. However with it attached Pins 1-3 wrt Pin4 show 3.27V.
Regulators on the SR6.3ng show 5V and 3.27V so they appear to be
functioning properly...With the SR6.3ng unattached Pins 1-3 wrt Pin4
show 3.27V (on the SR6.3ng). Something doesn't seem right there..

Hi Rob

P11 pin 1 is +5v  pin 4 is ground. You will need to have the 6.3 hooked to the mobo. I cheat and run 12v to the input of the 7805 for testing. then you can do basic testing without the 6.3.

Larry,

I measured with the SR connected P30 Pin1 shows 3.27V, Pins 2-3 show
0.04V.. With the SR not connected and 12V ran to 7805 P30 Pins 1-3
show 0.85V. I have checked P30 pins 1-3 for short to ground and cannot
locate one at the connector. An interesting side note, once in a while
the RDHHF1 does for some reason decide to come on by itself and gets
quite warm. figure that one out..

Hi Rob

P30's +3v3 comes from the 6.3  The RD16hhf1 biasing on is because the I2C is not running. Defualt state of U3 pin 12 is probaby active high. Leave the jumper off of K1 and it should not come on.I would do that till the I2C is running correct.  Can you PH me (same cell numbered ends with 5923) or if your # is the same I will call you. Give me a good time that your free. I have a list of tips that is hard to go over in a email.
