Welcome to the group Marion's Cultural Field Trips - Houston.
This group is the first activity to come out of the mission and spirit of Marion's Ledge, a Houston based project of Hank Hauffe and Hailey Hinson. (See www.marionsledge.org for more info if you are curious).
The
goal is to experience things in the spirit of affirmation and discovery
that normally wouldn’t have been within our purview. We will be
scheduling trips regularly that include visiting religious groups,
events at Reliant or the Convention Center (such as boat shows etc.),
markets (flea, craft, farmer's, antique, ...), and whatever we can find
that really express the varied interests & pursuits in Houston -
thereby getting ourselves to experience things that might not otherwise
have been on our plate.
With
more people getting involved, we expect a good increase in the variety
of ideas. Feel free to use this group for discussion of the trips we
take and to suggest others. I will be sending out official
announcements of all MCFT activities.
