While I think the main priority is to get any MLO iPhone version out I would like to say that a task reminder based on location would be a great feature to have in the second MLO iPhone release.
The geolocation on the iPhone is pretty incredible. Just try the iPhone apps "Aroundme" or "Redlaser" to see how powerful it is. This could be pretty simple to implement. Create a "Location" field for each task in MLO. Then have an option of how close you want the reminder to be (1 mile, 500 meters etc.) When you are within the reminder radius you are reminded.
So I could write a task "Get Milk" and have the location be the local grocery store (maybe the alert is recurring every time I go by). When I drive by or go in the store...an alert for the task "Get Milk" pops up.
Maybe you could even combine the time, date and location parameters. So it reminds me to "Get Milk" when I drive by the store, but only on Mondays and Wednesdays after 3:00 pm (when I pick the kids up from school).
This would really take task contexts to a whole new level...set and forget!!

Check out OmniFocus on the iPhone - it has a nicely working location aware context function - you can list your contexts by distance, or show them on the map. You can define a context's location based on geographical co-ordinates, address (i.e. linked to contact), or a Google map search keyword. The last works really well for things such as "pharmacy" or "grocery store".

Wow - that last bit sounds really clever. I would assume that it does the local search at the time you make the entry, rather than continually polling google maps for matching places as you move around? Still, not bad!
I think it's only available on the Mac, which rules it out for me, though!

Until iPhone OS 4, there is no 'background' processing on the iPhone, so OmniFocus polls Google maps at your current location when you open the app. Given multitasking in OS 4, there are new possibilities.

While this could be cool, it might mean spending way to much timing fussing with my task list. Sometimes the amount of time I spend tweaking my task list is just one more way to avoid actually getting work done.... :) I'd like to see the simple key features implemented well first and foremost.

It would be nice to have some of this stuff, but the biggest trick is
going to be how the homepage looks. It just won't work to see the big
outline as I do in the desktop version.
