I'm forwarding a couple of recent postings from the American Library
Trustee Association list on reciprocal borrowing which I think may be of
interest to Montana trustees. We're about to enter into discussions
about interlibrary loan in our state and I'd be interested to hear how

There is no formal application document. A person must write a letter
requesting consideration for selection to the specific board he/she is interested

Our Big Horn County Commissioners take applications for each specific board
position, library board being one. We members of the current library board
do not get our say in appointments, however we do usually ask people who we
know are interested in the library and would be active on our board to apply.

As of this morning, I added 2 more new members to the group bringing us
to a grand total of 6. I expect we'll be growing, especially now that I
know how and where to check for pending members. I just sent out a
