Subject: HMIS Systems
Hello All!  Our current contract for our HMIS system in Delaware is up
for renewal at the end of August.  As part of the renewal process, we
are looking at contacting 2 other systems to do a cost/system
analysis.  I was wondering what systems you use...as we would want to
stay/go with a system that is supported by other programs in our
region.

Thanks,
Susan Starrett

Lancaster County uses ServicePoint.  We too are up for renewal.  Last
time we did a cost analysis it was better to stick with what we have
because of the cost to transfer our data and re-train everyone - which
we don't have in the budget. Feel free to call if you have any question.

Aimee,

Thank you.  I have a feeling (or should I say I hope) that we will also
stick with ServicePoint because of those very same reasons.  But my Board
wants to at least see what else is out there and at least say that we did a
cost analysis.

I'll call with questions.
Thanks,
Susan

The Charlottesville Va Continuum of Care uses MetSYS. My predecessor
in the HMIS position here did a  comprehensive analysis of competing
systems several years ago and found that MetSYS offered advantages in
power and flexibility. That comes at the price of complexity, but the
MetSYS folks have been responsive to our learning curve issues.
