Subject: New Year, new collections, new show update...
Happy New Year! We are off to a wonderful start to the new year. We
have had two small, wonderful collections arrive, one including
incunabula and early printed works (including a wonderful copy of
Person's, Varieties (1635)) and a lovely collection of Willa Cather
material (including a signed/limited edition of One of Ours (1922)).
On top of this, I recently learned I had been awarded a scholarship to
the Rare Book School at UVA (http://www.rarebookschool.org/).

We have a busy, arguably ridiculous, show schedule for the next few
months and I hope we will see some of you at one or more of them. We
will be at the following shows through the end of March:
Books at the 25th Street Armory - Jan 11-12 (http://tinyurl.com/
2lylsq) [N.B. This weekend!]
NJ Antiquarian Book Fair - Feb 1-2 (http://tinyurl.com/359lxt)
San Francisco Antiquarian Book, Print and Paper Fair - Feb. 9-10
(http://tinyurl.com/38u2qu)
Greenwich Village Antiquarian Book Fair - Feb 22-24 (http://
tinyurl.com/3xgtf4)
Boston Antiquarian Book and Ephemera Fair - April 12-13 (http://
tinyurl.com/32yvge)

This should keep us busy. As always, if you are able to attend any/all
of them, please do stop by. I do have passes for some of them, so if
you are certain you will be able to attend a given show, please let me
know and I'll see what I can do about arranging a pass or passes for
you.

One last bit of news: At the last Maine Antiquarian Booksellers
Association, I was elected President...indeed a Pyrrhic victory. I
have been looking for scholarly works on cat herding, but have thus
far been unsuccessful. Joking aside, I am honored and hope to serve
the organization well.

Thank you, again, for all your support and interest in books. Please
do not hesitate to contact me if and when I might be of assistance
regarding any bookish matters.

Warm Regards,
/ijk
