Chunghwa Telecom's Karaoke-on-Demand service reaches 300,000 hits in
first month
October 18, 2007 - Streaming21 has reported that the Karaoke-on-Demand
solution it supplied to Taiwanese telco Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) has
reached over 300,000 hits in its first month since launch.

The Karaoke-on-Demand platform has personalised features such as My
Jukebox, interactive features, on-line payment and offers two packages
- pay-per-song at NT$ 5 each or unlimited song ordering for NT$ 100
per month.  There are currently over 8,000 karaoke songs available.
CHT reportedly plans to engage in an intensive marketing programme to
promote the service.

"Streaming21's unique interactive technology makes this new KOD
service really intuitive to users," said Dr. Joe Lin, President and
CEO of Streaming21.  "Users can see dramatic enhancements in the EPG
and continuous innovations of personalised features on the new system,
comparing to the old system deployed one year ago.  We are confident
that with this innovative and entertaining Home KOD service, CHT will
achieve its milestones in subscriber and revenue growth, and attract
more content providers to expand its IPTV businesses together."

Streaming21's Karaoke-on-Demand clients include Chunghwa Telecom,
Eastern Multimedia and LungHwa Electronics in Taiwan, Alcatel Shanghai
Bell in China and M2B in Singapore.
