LAKE COUNTRY JUBILEE
CONCERT UPDATE
March 09, 2012
A NIGHT OF “FIRST'S!!"
Our Lake Country Jubilee Concerts are like our children- all “different,” but all “good.” We take a great deal of care in trying to make each one unique, and refreshing. And, this one will be one with several “firsts!” As far as I know, this will be the first time Gold City, Palmetto State Quartet, and the Crist Family have ever appeared together. It will be the first time the Crist Family has ever appeared in the Metroplex. It will be the first time my good friend Dan Keeton (Tenor with Gold City) has ever appeared at Lake Country Jubilee. Dan, and I have been friends since he first started with the Blackwoods at the Ozark Jubilee Theater in Branson, Missouri almost 20 years ago. And, just wait until you hear David Darst (PSQ) sing "Don't That Sound Like Heaven!! Tickets are available by phone, at all of our 6 ticket outlets, and online. Go to www.lakecountryjubilee.com for complete details. We look forward to seeing you there!!!
THE WEATHER
There’s an old saying that “good news don’t sell papers.” And, that also is true of television news. They’ve been predicting for a week, massive amounts of rain for Thursday, today, tomorrow, and Sunday. Actually, very little has fallen. I’ve traveled over a good amount of the metroplex the last several days and haven’t seen any rain. Our yard is barely damp from a few sprinkles. But, let me assure you, that in the unlikely event of a storm, there’s no safer place to be in a storm than the Terrell Performing Arts Center. They have an underground area that is equipped, and used, as a tornado shelter. I’ll be a lot safer there than I would be at home. Should you wish to spend the night in Terrell, rather than drive home, our Terrell Headquarters is the Holiday Inn Express. Tell them you wish to get the Lake Country Jubilee Special Rate. The Reservations number is 972-563-7888. We stay there after each concert. It’s the nicest in town!
DON’T LEAVE EARLY
We’ll be giving away, free of charge, CD’s from my music library. There will be hundreds of them. Some are classics. Some are collector’s items. I’ve simply run out of room to store them in my radio library. We’ll do it as you leave the building so you won’t have to hold them during the concert. Come- and enjoy!!!
