LAKE COUNTRY JUBILEE
CONCERT UPDATE
April 5, 2012
BUSY TIMES
Most of you already know that Jean and I sold all our cattle. That was a major change in our life. Although we still own the land, we no longer have day-to-day responsibilities at the ranch. Since we had always maintained a home in Dallas, and all our families and friends live in the Dallas area, we are gradually spending more time at our home in Dallas. We will be changing the address where tickets are ordered and phone numbers may also change. Also, it will make it easier to actually produce the concerts as well as service our 24/7 webcast. For example: If there was a problem with the webcast, which originates in Dallas, we had to drive 180 miles to solve the problem. Now, we simply step into the broadcast studio in our Dallas home. What a difference!! We’re looking forward to renewing friendships and making new friends. And we especially look forward to seeing our family, including our grand kids, more often. It’ll seem odd not to put 40 miles on the car to go to church, visit the supermarket, or go to the bank- but we’ll get used to it!! Thanks to everyone for your patience with us during the years we were spread pretty thin. It was fun, but it was also an awful lot of work. Thanks again.
A BUG OVERSTAYS ITS WELCOME
Over 2 months ago Jean came down with a bug I’ll call a cold. It lasted almost a month. As she was recovering, I came down with the same thing. I am just now recovering. We’re now getting back in the saddle and are preparing for our May 19th Lake Country Jubilee Concert. The future is exciting and there’s no time to lose.
GETTING READY FOR MAY
May is a very special time for the Lake Country Jubilee family. It’s the time the Collingsworth Family comes calling. That, alone, would be a cause for a “SOLD OUT CELEBRATION!! But this year the Collingsworth’s will be joined by America’s Favorite Quartet, Triumphant. But, there’s still more!!! We’re inviting as “Special Guest Artists” Wilburn and Wilburn!! Of course, Jonathan Wilburn is an old friend from his many visits with Gold City. Now, joined by his son Jordan, they are touring as Wilburn and Wilburn. And, the good news just continues: We plan to put two grand pianos on the stage and let Kim Collingsworth and Jeff Stice, Triumphant’s great pianist, do a special segment together!! It’ll be a “DON’T MISS” night of gospel music!!! Tickets are available through our office at 800-580-2697 and online. Soon after Easter we’ll have them at our six ticket outlets. Go to www.lakecountryjubilee.com for complete details. Let me encourage you to get your tickets as early as possible. Last year was almost a “Sell Out” and this year is looking even greater. Also, ordering earlier helps Jean and I cope with the workload. We’re having a lot of new fans getting their concert information from the internet and we want to make sure everyone is served.
A NOTE TO GOLD CLUB MEMBERS
For the first time in over a decade, the Gaither Homecoming tour is not using LCJ as their publicity outlet in the D/FW Metroplex. So we will not have their tickets available to our Gold Club Members this year. The decision was not ours.
