Hi,

If you haven't taken part in an open online course in the past, you might find the first week or so a bit confusing, even frustrating. Open courses are decentralized...which means there is no clear centre or a certain space to go where all of the activity is happening. Sensemaking and wayfinding in decentralized courses takes a bit of time. To help orient you to the course, we have a few resources available that you might find helpful:

1. Support forum:  Dave Cormier offers to serve as a participant ombudsman. Bookmark this page - it's where you can go to ask all your questions, vent, or whatever: http://scope.bccampus.ca/mod/forum/view.php?id=8729

2. You might find these support videos (via Dave Cormier) helpful in describing open courses: http://bit.ly/fpoDoi

3. If you haven't done so, please stop by the Moodle discussion forums and introduce yourself (or interact with others who already have: http://scope.bccampus.ca/mod/forum/view.php?id=8722
