Please join me in the most unique performance work I have ever done:
"Carrie's Web" presented by Teada Productions!
"Carrie's Web" is an hour long solo show including contemporary
Indian dance, theater, and a high-heel wearing spider! And it came
out of an extremely rewarding process working with community
organizations that deal with domestic violence.
The show is July 2, 3 and 5. Thursday is an preview/ pay-what-you-can
night. Otherwise tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
TeAda also always needs volunteers who can help out and see the show
for free (contact: <mailto:alejan...@teada.org>alejan...@teada.org).
See below for venue details.
Hope to see you at the TeAda!

CARRIE'S WEB
written and performed by Shyamala Moorty
directed by D'Lo
A young South Asian woman struggles to untangle herself from cultural
and familial webs. She looks for empowerment to stop cycle of
violence only to find help from an extremely unlikely source. Can
facing her deepest fears change her future? A fantastical tale is
woven with contemporary Indian dance, theater and a high-heel-wearing
spider. Come join the healing through laughter, tears and hope.
CARRIE'S WEB is supported in part by a grant from the Arts Council
for Long Beach and the City of Long Beach.
HEALING MARS
written and performed by Marcella Pabros-Clark
Directed by John Clark
"Healing Mars" delves into the world of going against Doctor's
orders. Taking a holistic approach to Rheumatoid Arthritis, Marcella
Pabros-Clark challenges the monsters of prescription drugs and health
insurance. Creating theatrical dance through multimedia, she reclaims
her body, mind, and soul.
HEALING ALOUD is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles Immigrant
Funders Collaborative, the California Arts Council, The Los Angeles
Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission,
the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, the City of
Santa Monica and the Santa Monica Arts Commission. Healing Aloud is
co-sponsored by the Los Angeles Caregiver Resource Center.
We need your help! Please consider giving in this new year to help
TeAda and TeAda artists with future shows.
