As part of the Indigenous Awareness Week, you are cordially invited to participate in the Indigenous Peoples Awareness Day activities onThursday April 12th, in the Agora from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

 

We will enjoy traditional drumming and dancing with The Buffalo Hat Singers.

 

Throughout the day, there will be demonstrations of beadwork, basket weaving and pottery by Lorrie Oke, basket weaver and beader, andNatasha Smoke Santiago, potter, painter and jewelry maker.

 

Come taste traditional food prepared by Chef Maluh.

 

Xina Cowan will do a presentation on Contemporary Indigenous Fashion, crafts and textiles, followed by a fashion show of the creations of renowned Mohawk designer, Tammy Beauvais.
