Subject: Schaefer Tour, New Spring Yarns, and Spring Classes

Hello Dear Stitchers,

Some new yarns have come in for spring/summer knitting.  Lots of cotton,
bamboo, linen, and rayon.  *Mission Falls 1824 Cotton* arrived today, we
haven't even opened the box yet, but we'll have it out tomorrow!  We have
new yarns from *Tahki*, *Stacy Charles* and *Plymouth* as well.  So far my
favorite this spring is *O-Wool Balance*, a 50% organic cotton 50% organci
wool blend that's a little tweedy and very soft, we have a sample ball for
you to try at the shop.  We have a good selection of yarns on sale as well
that are worth a second look!

*Schaefer Yarn Tour: Saturday, June 27*

You have seen in the shop the beautifully hand-painted skeins of Schaefer
Yarn <http://www.schaeferyarn.com/>; you might have even made a project or
two with them. Do you know these stunning beauties are made locally in
Interlaken, NY, a mere 30-minute drive from Ithaca? Cheryl Schaefer, the
wonder woman behind Schaefer Yarn, has graciously opened her production
facilities to local knitters for this tour. You will see how undyed yarn
turns into skeins of hand-painted Schaefer Yarn. Then, you will receive one
skein of undyed Anne sock yarn (included in the price of the tour) and *dye
your very own unique skein*! Afterwards, you can purchase from the great
selection of Schaefer Yarn from their stock, including those that are not
regularly stocked items at Knitting Etc.
We are running two sessions for the June tour, one in the morning and one in
the afternoon. For those in the morning tour, we will meet at the shop at 9
am on *Saturday, June 27* and carpool for the 30-minute drive. The afternoon
tour will meet at Schaefer Yarn at 1 pm. The cost is *$40*. *Advanced
registration is required* as Schaefer can only accommodate up to 20 people
per session. Stop by the shop with your *non-refundable* payment for the
tour or call 277-1164 with your credit card.

*Spring Classes*

We have some fun and interesting spring classes lined up for you.  As
always, click the links for more details, or call us at the shop for details
