Dear Poets and Readers:
Atlas Poetica : A Journal of Poetry of Place, issue one, is in the proofreading stage. Even now the poets are reviewing the first issue at the private URL sent to them. Once all corrections are received, the work will be sent to the publisher and be in print on 1 March 2008. A press release will also be sent out.
If you are a contributor to ATPO 1 and have not yet sent your corrections, please be sure to send them as soon as possible. Corrections received after the January 31 deadline will be too late. If you never received or have lost the URL, please contact me immediately.
If you are a reviewer that would like a review copy of Atlas Poetica, please let me know which journal or website you review for when you send your request.
Blurbs are available in 12 languages. Translations are sought into the following languages: French, Italian, Bulgarian, Arabic, Japanese; any other language offered.
The first issue of Atlas Poetic features the presentation of 46 poets with content in twelve languages. Poetry features individual tanka, tanka sequences, and tanka with prose. In addition, we accept innovative and traditional uses of the tanka (but cannot accept images). We also seek non-fiction, such as announcements (in any language), book reviews, book notes (in any language), articles, essays, letters to the editor, etc. We especially welcome bilingual submissions in which the original language is accompanied by English translation.
All poetry must be tanka poetry of place. All non-fiction submissions must be germane to tanka poetry of place. We do not publish haiku or haiku news.
