Morning Announcements
May 9, 2008
Today is Day 3
Pass Day


All NYSSMA students: Come to the music department before the end of
the day for your playing permits and NYSSMA sheets.

AP Test-Takers: If you are taking a morning exam, you must be in the
main lobby by 7:15 a.m. Afternoon exams must be in the main lobby by
11:15 a.m.

College & Careers:
- Scholarships are still available…BOCES students, Fire Dept, and EMS
serving the JJ area…applications in the C&C room.
- Seniors; please make sure you have notified your counselors of the
college you will attend ASAP.

Health Office: If you are interested in a fall sport, pick up a
permission slip in the Nurse’s Office.


CLUBS & ACTIVITIES

SADD: Meeting today at 1:45 p.m. in Rm. 202A.

Community Service: Planting Barrels in Hopewell on Sat, May 17th at 9
a.m…sign up in the main office.


Volunteers for Relay Race: Volunteers needed to participate in a Seat
Belt Challenge Relay Race at Dutchess Stadium, JJ vs. RCK Baseball
game tomorrow, 4 – 8 p.m. See Miss Dahl in Rm. 202A.

Freshman Class Trip: All freshmen attending the Dorney Park trip MUST
submit a signed permission slip. Students who do not, will not be
permitted to board the bus. Slips in the main office on the counter.

Sophomore Trip to Six Flags: Info and permission slips on the
counter in the main office.

JJ Senior Class:
- Field day forms are due today. Please put in Mr. Ambron’s or Mr.
Pedota’s mail box.
- Mandatory field day captains meeting on Tues, May 13th.
- Senior Prom will be held at West Point, Eisenhower Hall on May 16th,
7 p.m. – 12 a.m. Tickets are on sale for $80. Be sure to drop off
any early dismissal notes to the attendance office by Wed, May 14th.

Renaissance Trip: Madame Tussauds Wax Museum on May 20th...Details
and permission slips on the counter in the main office.

Cystic Fibrosis Walk: June 1st at Bowdoin Park. Please see Ms.
Oldenborg in Rm. 138 if interested in joining a team or making a
donation. Flyers in the main office.

Congratulations…to Olivia Clark, Caroline Murray, and Vicky Masi for
receiving the Family & Consumer Science Educator Award last evening at
a dinner in their honor.

Rachel’s Challenge: This week we are looking at the first of Rachel’s
Challenges: eliminating prejudice. Today’s quote is from Mark

Wappingers Crew Club: Good luck to Wappingers Crew Club as they row
in the New York State Rowing Championships in Saratoga this weekend.
