Morning Announcements
June 11, 2008
Today is Day 6
No Pass Day


Beginning tomorrow the main entrance will be the only doors open at
the beginning of the day. Everyone must enter the building via the
main doors. The gym and auditorium entrances will be locked. You may
use them during passing times only.


Cap & Gown Distribution: Today during all lunch periods in the café
lobby.

Library:
- Closed to students beginning tomorrow through Monday.
- All books are now due. Please return ASAP.

Lost and Found: Please check in the main office if you have lost any
items this year.


AP CLASSES FOR NEXT YEAR

AP Biology: Students must see Mrs. McFarland on Tues, June 17th
between 7:30 a.m. – 12 noon in rm. 192.

AP Chemistry: Students must pick up the summer assignment from Mrs.
Loh in rm. 260 or 265.

AP European History: Come to rm. 203 for summer assignment from Mr.
Roberto on Friday or Monday.

AP US History: Students please see Mr. Molloy in room 227 for your
summer reading assignment.


CLUBS & ACTIVITIES

French Club: Last meeting of the year today from 2 – 2:30 in rm. 204.

Science Olympiad: Final meeting today. We will have pizza and hand
out certificates.

Conexiones: Last meeting of the year today after school in rm. 214.
All members should attend. Elections for next year will be held.
Please be on time.

GSA: Meeting today after school in rm. 108.

Italian Honor Society: Soccer tournament tomorrow.

Exemplary Character and Citizenship Award Ceremony: Tomorrow at 2:15
p.m. in the auditorium.

Renaissance: Final meeting tomorrow after school in rm. 242.

Yearbooks:
- Yearbooks will continue to be on sale this week while supplies
last. Cost is $80; cash only.
- John Jay apparel is in; pick up in the yearbook office. Extra
apparel available for sale during lunch periods.

Seniors T-Shirts: Pick up during lunch periods in the café lobby.
Limited extras; first come first served.

Summer Reading Book Fair: Barnes and Noble is hosting a summer
reading book fair on Friday. Come and enjoy the entertainment in the
evening and shop for your summer reading selections. Proceeds go to
the JJ Parent/Teacher Student Association.


SPORTS

Spring Track: All captains meet after school in gym lobby: Karlie
Dean, Ally Neidig, Emily Huston, Frank Risole, Chris Turchieo, Mike
Mosca.

Girls Basketball: Weight room this week is cancelled. Mandatory
team meeting today at 3:30 p.m. in rm. 112.

Girls & Boys Cross Country: Informational meeting for anyone
interested in Cross Country today at 2:00 p.m. in rm. 128.

Girls Soccer: Practice today.
