Hello Dear Jíbaros...
My daughter Frances has joined a missionary team committed to bring hope to the many poor, I mean destitute, people in the barrios of Cuba... places that nobody let us see.
She is going as a Missionary from the Life and Light church in Downey CA, but within the Team of Twelve, each Missionary must raise their own funds ($1500.00 each) for air fare and a stay of 10 days.. They leave on June 20 but the funds must be raised within the first 10 days of June.
Please, believe in the URGENCY of this.The new Cuba administration under Raul Castro is letting people go in and out for some limited time and in small numbers. We want to be among the first ones who can say "Yes, I was there... yes, I helped."
This is a humanitarian quest about folks who lack the basic things that you and I take for granted, like soap and toothpaste. I have a report, photos and the information about where to send your tax deductible donation.
