'Saving the Turkeys'
Melanie Ligon, a retired fourth grade teacher at Kirk Academy reads 'The Night Before Thanksgiving,' a story about turkeys being saved from the Thanksgiving platter, with the help of fourth grader Will Tartt.  This was part of the recent 'Book Parade of Characters'encourage reading Students dressed as the character of a book they read and paraded around the gym for students, parents, and teachers.
Copied from the Grenada Daily Star.
Melanie and I briefly had a telephone conversation about this posting.  I remarked to Melanie that she looked just like she did in high school.

Hopefully, the pictures in this posting can be viewed better than the
posting I did on Nov. 23, 2007.
