I have tried posting several times to a group, it says it will show up
momentarily - but it never does.  Any suggestions?

It's a bug in Google Groups software. Certain users are blacklisted for
no appearant reason, and are then prevented from posting new topics to
any group.

I've been locked out of my group for WEEKS now after it migrated to
Google Groups. I sent several detailed accounts such as the following
one to Google representatives:

http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Groups-Basics/browse_thread/thr...

So far, no one bothered to even answer me.

In short: outlook not so good. I was very disappointed with the quality
of the service, and my next step is to campaign in my group to abandon
Google Groups and seek a less buggy service.

Oh dear, this doesn't bode well. I only reported this yesterday!

I must have made 5 postings, all lengthy and considered, before I
realised they weren't showing! What a waste of time. Wait - why am I
writing this...will it appear?

I got quite a quick reply from Google today, explaining that they were
aware of a "problem" and that engineers were working on it.

Hi everyone,

I know it might be difficult to keep track of all my replies, because
we're currently discussing this topic in several threads. I responded
last week at
http://groups.google.com/group/Is-Something-Broken/browse_thread/thre...

But, I wanted to write again to reassure you that I'm reading all of
your posts and I'm sorry that this frustrating issue is still affecting

you. Though it may not bring much consolation, at least know that your
posts aren't being lost completely, but are waiting for your group
moderators' approval. I will let you all know as soon as I get word of
any breakthroughs on this.

Link is broken

*sigh* As I keep mentioning in my bug reports, most of the groups I'm
posting to AREN'T MODERATED! Some have absent owners, and as for the
rest - how many moderators have the time to clear incorrectly queued
posts? So, in all intents and purposes, these posts are lost.

And how come someone with a google account for over 2 years has a
"spam" mark against their profile?

CAN *EVERYONE* please please make sure they are reporting EACH MESSAGE
that doesn't post, via the bug reporting tool:
http://groups.google.com/support/bin/request.py

Again, I stress, it's important that EACH MESSAGE that fails is
reported.
Otherwise, from the replies I've seen, it doesn't seem that Google are
really aware of the scale of the problem. Thanks

"Reply with Quote" doesn't work in my group. I end up with a blank
posting screen with no subject filled in, and no quote. *annoyed!!*

Since I can't "reply with quote," I don't even get the little box where
I can check to have a copy of my reply sent to me. *anger*

Using "Reply" gives me a 502 error: Server Error. The server
encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request.
Please try again in 30 seconds. *it's a lie!!!*

After the 502 error, I've found that my reply did get sent to the
group. :)

I still cannot delete my own posts! I get this error if I try to delete
my post:
You are not allowed to remove this message: no name given , : pm
Message ID:

*rage*

This problem has been going on for DAYS!!! My inbox is being filled up
with duplicate posts because of this problem!!! *aarrrggh!!*

I've reported it 2 times to this link:
http://groups.google.com/support/bin/request.py
and they tell me it should be working now.

IT'S NOT WORKING!! >:/

Today, October 6, I just got this, after reporting this problem
multiple times -

Thank you for your note. We apologize for our delayed response. We
understand your concern. Upon further investigation, it appears your
recent post(s) have been flagged by the Google Groups spam filter;
they've been sent to your group moderator for approval.

This explains why your posts haven't appeared immediately after your
submitting them. Please contact your group moderator if you've
submitted posts that you'd like to see approved more quickly.

Please understand like any automated filter, ours isn't perfect. That's
why suspicious posts are sent to your group moderator for review rather
than being automatically deleted. While we don't currently offer a way
to "whitelist" authors who are being moderated incorrectly, our spam
filter is learning as it goes and should make better guesses over time.

We appreciate your patience. If we can assist you further, please let
us know.

So, our legitimate posts are being flagged as spam?
