On behalf of the NHMA Board of Directors we would like to invite you and
colleagues to assist in the establishment of the NHMA Medical Student and
Resident Council at its first Meeting at our Annual Conference on Thursday,
April 17th, Washington Hilton Hotel, Connecticut Ave, DC ---at 8 – 9 pm at
the NHMA Suite (Elena Rios name). We were hoping you might know local
Washington, DC medical or surgical residents ---if you can forward their
names and emails I will invite them to join us.

We are excited about formalizing our relationships with our member medical
students and residents. The purpose of the Council is to develop activities
for NHMA medical student and resident members at the NHMA conference,
develop policy recommendations for consideration to the Board of Directors
and to increase NHMA membership. We will discuss organizational priorities,
meeting schedule, and appoint the first Chairperson to be our point person.
Board Members will be meeting with the group and refreshments will be
served.

I would also like to provide complementary registration to the Conference
for your participation in the Council. Let me know if you can join us. See
www.nhmamd.org for the conference agenda. Also, any other referrals
welcome….send to me ASAP.
