Write Race Reports for USA Cycling! (And get a free racing license!)

Greetings IMCCC!
I hope you’re all excited for the opening race weekend of the 2013 Collegiate road season this weekend. As we have done for the last several road and MTB seasons, USA Cycling will be posting weekly race recaps to our website from collegiate races across the country, and we need someone to write these recaps for the IMCCC this spring. (Please pass this email along to your teammates and cycling team groupies!)
These are not meant to be full-on race reports, but brief summaries to give a nationwide audience an idea of the racing going on in each conference. Here’s an example: www.usacycling.org/2012-weekly-collegiate-racing-wrap-february-28-2012.htm These shouldn’t take you more than 20 minutes a weekend.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
-200-300 word summary of the weekend- just a couple standout details, rather than a full-on race report
-one or two photos of good quality and relatively low resolution (no bigger than 640x480, preferably landscape orientation)
-sent to me on or by Monday a.m.-ish
What’s in it for you? In addition to swag and your byline on the website (posted to the front page every Wednesday morning- definitely something to put on a résumé), we will cover your collegiate racing license for the year if you write quality reports consistently. If you’ve already purchased your license, we’ll cut you a check for $30 at the end of the season. Ok, so it’s not a ton of cash, but it’s an easy $30. If you’re interested, please shoot me a note with dates of races you won’t be attending (ideally we’d like someone who will be at most races).
