I've had mine for about 3 months now and I really like it. My old I-
Roast2 gave up the ghost after 3+ years. I mount it a stool over the
stove and use the range hood exhaust fan to avoid the smoke detector
going off.

Results are excellent and clean-up is quite easy.

Duane

I roasted beans via a wok on the stove for three years before getting my
Behmor, so I know a thing or two about it.
I usually preheated my wok, but you certainly don't want to overdo it,
and it also depends on how many beans you want to roast at a shot. The
fewer beans, the lower the heat you'll want to us.

Yes, it will work. I would not however get the pan hot before roasting. This
could cause lopsided burning of the beans or uneven roast inside the beans.
Personally I think you would get a better roast with a heat gun and a dog
bowl/bread maker/wok(?) as the air from the heat gun tumbles the beans for a

Ok, I have been looking for plans to build a chaff collector for my large
roaster. The one I am thinking of may basically be just a drum that the
smoke goes through and the chaff settles out into (clean out door at the
bottom) but I have not found one to inspect or plans anywhere online. I did
find a cool afterburner plans but at like $1500 in parts and the potential
