Our first ever Google AdWords class just ended about an hour ago.
I'm very proud of this class and this set of students. I think it
went very well.
Overall, I need to refine a few things and learn a little bit more of
some small odds and end things. A couple questions did come up that I
could not answer immediately.
But overall, I think it went very well. The students all seemed to
benefit.
I'd been looking forward to this class on PPC and Google AdWords ever
since it was announced.
One of the things I enjoyed most was being in a room with others with
the same questions I had, and it was a mixed group - some folks just
getting started, some folks with a bit more background. I learned
something from everybody.
I came to the class needing some clarification on the best way to
structure a campaign to begin with, and then how to actually determine
what works best and what needs to be dumped. All my questions on these
points were answered, and I'm looking forward to doing some really
good fine tuning on campaigns I manage.
I also learned what not to do!
The class participation was great, and the 'quizzes' were really good
for making my brain work for once :-)
I have NO unanswered questions after this class and truly, nothing I
could suggest for improvement. I got a little confused on the
instructions for one of the quizzes but that was quickly cleared up.
I also immediately and enthusiastically posted my impression of the
course on my blog at: http://www.weaversites.com/blog/ (shameless plug
dept.)
I'm looking forward to hearing everybody else's comments.

I really enjoyed the AdWords class. If you hadn't setup a Google
AdWords account, this class walked you through it. If you've been
working with AdWords for a couple years like I have, there was still
plenty of information to learn. Whether it was new info or just
things I haven't tried yet, I learned a lot!
Like Fiona said, the students participation was great and the quizzes
made you think.
Thanks Corey for the class, the invaluable binder of information, and
for all of the hard work that it took to put this class together.
I certainly echo the words of Fiona and Jason. The adwords class was
excellent. It was very informative and comprehensive. Whether you
are a beginner, of have some working knowledge of PPC, the class gave
up to the minute tips and information on the current trends. Any one
can walk out of the course and begin their very own PPC campaign using
Google adwords.
The class interaction was great, the training was simple and easy to
understand, and the information we took home with us in written form
is invaluable. Thanks again.
