software.

Story on how Picis perioperative solutions have been adapted to work with
VistA and are now in use at several VA hospitals. Great story on the role of
clinicians in improving VistA and collaboration efforts with the private
sector.


4. Informatix Rolls Out PAMS

Finally a patient account management system for RPMS and VistA.
Information on deployments and capabilities.


5. VistA Health Network

Major story from Phillip Longman in Washington. How to solve the healthcare

in the coming elections.


6. CBO Report on VA Model and VistA

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has released a great interim report on
the success of the VA Healthcare model and some of the ways it can be applied

and it's web enabled!

Excellent! The newsletter obviously reflects a great deal of effort and thought.

I found two items of particular interest. The call for an effort to develop a web based interface to VistA on page 21 and description of the web based (but not M-based) EHR/PHR being developed from scratch by Tolven.
