Pipe Bowl Sweetening

Periodically, I have to clean/sweeten up the bowl on my pipes. I've
tried the commercial bowl sweeteners, which work fine. I use a pipe
cleaner moistened with the sweetener to coat the bowl, then run another

one through the stem and into the bowl of the pipe.

But, eventually, I have to do a more thorough job. I remove the stem
and run a pipe cleaner into the bowl as a plug. I then fill up the bowl

with some good vodka, let it sit for a few minutes and empty it. I then

run a wet pipe cleaner through the stem. After the bowl dries it tastes

so much better.
