Subject: Only God is the Truth
I have come to meet people online who say they follow God, but they
obviously do not even know that the Bible is His Word. I have never seen
people demonstrate a bigger stupidity than theirs. Five-year-old can do
better. Do they really think that serious people would buy into their
obvious lies? I guess it is their wickedness, I mean, people cannot
really be so stupid, can they? They seem to live in a kind of alien
world, a world of lies, and it seems that they were condemned to
understand each other in that language of lies and cannot get out of
there anymore. I do not know what was first, their lies to or about
their neighbors, or their lies about Scripture.

I have found out that many people are not really interested in Bible
study. They join Christian newsgroups for the lack of party time
elsewhere. They do not want to hear God's Word, just those Words that
fit into their own concept, yet they claim they would hear Jesus' voice.
That is funny somehow, is it not? Some have used their whole lives to
search the Bible for things they want to read out of it, others have not
even tried reading yet.

However, if the Bible was not God's Word, they would all be lost anyway.
They should make up their minds about it. If it is God's Word, God is
the only TRUTH. Some are close, but do not have Jesus. Others are not
even close but dancing around own herself. Some are gnostics, and even
Apostle Paul fought against false Christian teachers who taught
gnosticism already. Oh well, there is nothing new under the sun. Vanity
of vanities, and spitting into the wind.

God Bless You.

Vera

Hi Vera,

What I've noticed about people, who say they believe in God or follow Him
but ignore scripture, is that what they really believe and follow is
themselves with His will being what they would do if they were God. They
don't know the Lord or they would know His voice and hear it in His Word.

What doesn't help is a host of "pastors," "scholars," and skeptics who have
taught them that His Word is simply the opinions of nice old men about God.
Much of it is just plain stupid. Like the knave's talking about not reading
it literally when it disgrees with him and taking it literally when he can
twist the wording to seem to support him, like the "about to" in "about to
come," a new way to split an infinitive. Have you ever seen anyone at
anytime discussing whether any other work should be read literally? No, we
simply read them and notice the figurative and symbolic as well as the
literal statements. No one writes strictly literally (not even technical
writers) or strictly figurative.

I don't know if you've taken many literature courses, but when we read to
see what the Author is saying, we are trying to get into his head to follow
his thinking. When we read His Word as the work of the greatest Author, we
begin to follow His thinking and it becomes obvious.

There used to be a guy online John Tinnes, who began arguing why a given
book of scripture didn't belong in scripture when it disagreed with him. We
called him "Title Page John," because that is all he had left when he got
done taking out the rest of the scriptures which supported the first ones he
removed. Scripture confirms scripture, and when we hear His voice it reveals
all He will do.

God Bless You,

Fred

Hi Fred,

Yes, right, that is what I believe, too. Most people want to follow
themselves, which means that they have never surrendered to God, and
have never been born again. If not born again, they are no believers.

Yes, they are twisting everything, and see metaphors where something
does not fit into their own ideas. They should read the Bible like any
other book. They usually do not see symbols, metaphors and the like when
they read it. I agree, language is usually full of metaphors and
symbols, and God is able to make things clear enough so we will
understand them when the time has come. Somehow I do not need to read a
symbolical meaning in the Scripture verses as they have to. It is all
self-explaining to me. Revelation is the most powerful book of the Bible
I have read, and Genesis. If God does not speak to people reading
Genesis Himself, they will still believe in evolution theory. What is so
difficult for people to believe that? I can say that I baked a cake from
4 pm to 6 pm. So why could God not have made the world in six days if he
is God? What is the problem... And if Jesus went to heaven in a cloud,
why should He not come back the same way? If God said that the heavens
and the earth will melt away, He did not simply mean the fall of the
Solomon Temple in Jerusalem under the Romans. The people knew that the
earth was a little bigger than that in those times. They were not
stupid. They just did not have as much science and machines like we
have.

I agree with you wholeheartedly on this, Fred.

God Bless You,

Vera

Hello ((((Veraleinchen)))

Jesus Talks to people in Parables so only those that aske Him
for the wisdome will be able to get the insight to decipher His
Word and even His Prophesies.

Misty,
