We are in a great need of volunteers for our annual pedestrian and bicycle counts next week. Your help is critical in measuring existing use and evaluating the progress made over past years. Volunteers from previous years said it was fun, educational and the weather is looking very good next week.
We are looking for people to do weekday morning counts from 7 am to 9 am and afternoon counts from 4-6 pm. Saturday counts are also needed from 12 - 2 PM. For the weekday counts, you can select Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday to do a count next week. You only need to count at a location of your choice once.
If you are interested in doing a bicycle/pedestrian count (or even two), please contact me at
541-682-5471 or
lee.sh...@ci.eugene.or.us<mailto:
lee.sh...@ci.eugene.or.us> for more details. If you haven't volunteered to count pedestrians and bicyclists in the past, there will be a 15 minute training to go over the count forms and general instructions. I will arrange a time that is convenient for you.
Thanks, Lee
