I like to set up triangular bookmarking, just so Google can't catch me. I'll bookmark you, if you bookmark my buddies site, and he'll bookmark me.
You do know that is why they pay you a dollar to download firefox with the toolbar right? It's a transparent way to track the bookmarks.
And then there is this: http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/browsersync/ I've got about 450 different aliases set up for that, it works great for new site launches. You'll rank for the "anchor text" used in the bookmarks before Googlebot crawls the site, it shows as URL only but will rank well.
I've been selling them at merely $1 per bookmark.
You do have to worry about bookmark leaking though, too many bookmarks in an account and they'll loose their ranking power. The other thing to consider is bookmark creep, try to stay on topic or at least build a good navigation structure with well formed folder names.

OK. So if I wanted to do this, I'd need some buddies?
I love (NOT) how it's modern to mix english into german, especially when you have know idea what you're writing. The things you find when searching on Google :-)
Is "random viagra" as effective as the real thing? Its like one of those generic thingys, right?

You don't have to worry Phil, I have you in my "Google history" which is MUCH more effective that any thtupit bookmarks!
Sheesh, rubes!
The sites I have Google bookmarked are only PageRank 4 but all the sites I have in my special Google history are PageRank 6 or on their way there.
You guys wonder why some peoples' sites tank?
It's because someone deleted their Google history links!

How about using Adsense in html emails? And send them out in bulk of course.
Just think of the reach that can have when you're not just spmaming thousands but offering them 20 Google ads to click on - which they will for lack of something better to do or while they try to figure out hwo to get off the mailing list.
Yep, this must be the answer to boosting my lonely 2 Adsense clicks. Quick, who's got a good bulk mailing generator thingie? Oh, and a mailng list too to go with it.

Eww, that's wicked!

I'd LIKE it to be known I would NEVER consider doing anything like that.
(I don't always get what I would like though)

I can whip up a php bulk e-mailer in a couple of minutes if someone else has a mailing list although, why not just use the addresses that spam comes from since many are likely addresses scavenged and just used as the sender for a given spam instead of the recipient. Besides, it's a percentage thingy anyhoo, ya win some, ya lose some.
And, if we hotwire the Adsense to list our spam sites, we can get triple our money's worth if we spam Gmail accounts!

Not all their weapons, but their rifles at least (ammo is in a sealed can). They also have to go out for target practice twice a year (I think). This week one of the Swiss guys in the office was lined up right after work, he took the thing to the office and drove there on his motorbike with it on his back. Scares you a bit when you come for a visit, but after a while you get used to these people running around with rifles strapped on their backs, hehehe. Nobody can take our chocolate, muahahaha!
Emails with Adsense won't work (would be too easy to game, heh), but emails pointing to adsense pages might. Actually kind of strange that I haven't seen too many of those things... I guess you just earn more by cutting out the middle man (Google and advertiser). There are a gazillion affiliate spam things though (all those Rolex mails go through a single producer but are sent out by anyone with a mailer, as far as I know).

This guy lived in a small close with seven houses and eight garages, one a bit bigger than the others.
Any two keys let them get the tank out.
The Germans call the Swiss the "Eidgenossen" - comrades in oath.
Less flatteringly, they call the British the "Inselaffen" - island apes.
And they call the Austrians "Schluchtenscheisser" - sort of apes who're shitting into canyons.
The most common term for the British in Germany is "Tommies" (of course spelled "Tommys"), at least it was last time I looked. I like "pommies" better, but outside the reach of the British Army of the Rhine (Rhine Army in german, better known as BFG because BFBS is a quite popular radio station) "Inselaffen" may be popular. Sigh.

Some guy posted elsewhere recently that he's come up with a "brilliant" way to monetise all the 404's he gets from visits to his site caused by his site haveing been somehow spammed - or rather associated with spammy notions like gambling and whatnot. He said he's put adsense ads on his custom 404 and he's already made money out of that.
To which I replied that is probably highly unlikely to work if the page is displayed with a 404, as the Adsense robots won't be able to check the legitimacy of the page where ads are supposedly being shown.
No further comment from that guy yet. I'd like to hope I called his bluff - that he is only thinking he might do that and it might work as he thinks it might.
If he's actually done that and it's worked as he said, I'll be a wee bit peeved since in a month and a half of running adsense ads on 3 sites I have (which I don't mind defacing with ads LOL) all I have managed to get have been 2 lone ad clicks for a grand total of $0.64. I seriously doubt I'll see more than $1 out of it by the end of the year at which point I'll remove the ads as part of a failed experiment in passive wealth building (lol).

If it returns 404, it won't work (and it's against the ToS - getting either his site blacklisted with Adsense or his account removed). However, he could always have a 404 page that javascript redirects elsewhere, eg a "topics" page. It all depends a lot on what kind of visitors he's getting though. The SEO / webmaster types are paranoid of clicking on ads :-).

That's not what he said he had. He called it his custom 404 page. Of course he didn't give me the url so I could check what he had. He's either finagling or thinking of doing it. It's all in the intent, isn't it? LOL
