Also they will have rserevd the domain name under all the tlds to
avoid the posisbility of anybody trying to register it for themselves.
It  prevents some escort service using a Disney-like domain but on
some obscure tld.

Because it is cheaper to buy them all than it is to sue someone who is
domain squatting.

Hi group
I already bought www. disney .ae for my personal use and i dont mind
to sell it in the future to disney international , but i need to know
if they can take the domain from me by force under law?
they already got www. disneyme . com to cover the middle east but
Dubai, UAE is the most active country and city in the middle east and
I dont think Disney will ignore domain like this in the future as I
belive in the future they will launch something like disney land in
UAE and the Disney Chanel in Dubai Media City...
My quistion again can they take it by force under the international
copyright of the brand name law ?
Thanks

It depends very much on local law - can a company name be
copyrighted?  In my experience, the biggest common factor is that you
need VERY good lawyers to fight one of these.

Hi Alaa

nic.ae's domain name dispute policy can be found at
http://nic.ae/english/pdf/dispute_resolution/dispute_resolution_polic...
. Generally, issues regarding trademarks can be very complicated - if
you are worried about the domain name, I would advise you to take it
up with a lawyer.

John
