I'm Oliver Fisher, yet another Googler. I spend my time working on
Google's anti-malware efforts (http://
googleonlinesecurity.blogspot.com/2008/10/malware-we-dont-need-no-
stinking.html).
I like long walks on the beach, romantic sunsets... Oh, wrong sort of
profile...
I work with Google's Montreal engineering office but live in Ottawa.
Fortunately, many days I'm able to work from home - so No Pants Day
isn't a special occasion for me. When not sitting in front of a
computer screen, I often sit in front of a blank wall practicing Zen.
I'm John Daisy and I want to be the coolest porn PIMP here on the
board )))
so if u need some hot stuff - u definitely need me LOL
currently i launch 2 new age sites for the Industry:
http://www.myporndiary.net/ - for surfers
and
http://www.signbucksdaily.com/ - for webmasters (for those who want to
earn $$$ on P, some really cutting age data there never represented
before)
i really like Google's work. thx to G all we are not obstructed by web
junk (few years ago it seemed like it would happened). The Industry
where i work really suffers from shady tactics in all related areas
(promo, billings, paysites), but G does the best to beat shady things
around web promo. Sure there're still a lot of sites w/ useless
content and amazing relevancy, but it could be much more worse w/
doorways, guestbooks spam, etc.
to be honest i wonder for some things in G approach, but the trend
seems to be right.
one of the things that really drives me crazy is G love to blogs. U
know, this approach generated the whole branch in the industry -
useless blogs ans splogs (automatically generated from affiliate
programs' RSS feeds blogs). Just look into Google Analytics stats.
there are only 1-2 clicks/page and <30 sec on site. they fulfilled
the serp and earn on these 1,5 clicks only from G, there're no more
traffic sources for them (blogdirs supply only pr, no traffic there).
but i hope u'll find how to help ppl find exactly what they need. just
take a look into the Industry, read some specialized industry boards
and u'll get the situation. contact me if you need some more info on
these issues.
cheers )
stay cool ))
btw. thx for Chrome! it really rocks even in beta!

I'm Chris from the Search Quality team, and I thought I'd stop by and
introduce myself before I start helping out in this group.
Most of my time online is in Google Reader, trying to keep up on new
music, politics, design, and, of course, webmasters. My site is mostly
a tumblelog-style collection of things I'm into, and hopefully a
showcase for some music and programming projects in the future.
Offline, I'm usually reading, seeing films, taking photos, playing
music, tinkering with something, or having adventures around San
Francisco.
Oh, and when I have a rare, spare moment from Search Quality, I work
on the Authors@Google team. You can check out our events on Youtube
( http://www.youtube.com/atgoogletalks ), if you're curious.
I'm really looking forward to getting to know more of you, and helping
out with any issues you might be having.
I'm Adi a recent addition to the U2U as well as a member of the Search
Quality team here at Google.
Like my buddy Chris, I keep a close eye on new music and try to get
out to all the shows going on in San Francisco. Most recently I saw
the Notwist; if you have a chance, check out their song Gloomy Planets
(the song is much more lighthearted and uplifting than the title
suggests - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2qKfzIpoQg ). Before this,
I studied computer arts and new media production, which ended up in a
lot of web projects -- and that's how I found myself here, working
with webmasters.
I'm excited to help out and I'm looking forward to learning some new
things from all of you.
My name is Jayan, and I work with Google's Search Quality Team. My
personal blog is still a work in progress so I will definitely be
asking around for some help on that. I am looking forward to helping
around the group as much as possible and learning from you guys in the
process.
On the personal front: When not glued on to the internet, I spend most
of my waking hours catching up on movies and football games (Go
Arsenal!!). I am a self confessed Music Junkie/Gaming addict. I still
play Counter-Strike till my eyes actually hurt. I love reading,
traveling and indulge myself with adventure sports whenever I get the
opportunity. This was a recent skydiving video of mine -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mYgqhzrvyc . Oh, and did I mention I
work out of Google India's Hyderabad office?
Yet another Googler to the group. Thought I'll say hello to all by
introducing myself. I'm Koti and I work for Google's Search Quality
team here in India. I love outdoor sports, cars and music, typical! I
play the violin, in fact in my leisure you would probably find me
plucking the violin and playing it like a guitar, one of my favorite
pastimes. I'm mighty excited to be part of this group and I'm looking
forward to helping out & interacting with most of you.

Just started to properly use these groups. Dipped into them over the
years but never really given much input.
I have been in the industry since '96 when I sold my first web design.
These days I don't do much except write business/systems analysis but
over the years I have done, design, coding, set up and run web
servers, tech support, SEO, teaboy, etc. I now run a small development
company in the UK, we specialise in bespoke solutions and we do a lot
of SEO and PPC. I have been a GAP for almost 4 years now, hoping to
qualify for the Analytics qualification too.

England. Currently running an e-commerce site (www.memorycardzoo.com)

back in 2004/2005.
