Hi I have a site that is having a problem being stuck on Pending. I
resubmitted the sitemap 3 times over probably I am guessing a week or
so and it is still stuck on pending. Site is hotdogpress.com

I have a sitemap for it in the webmaster tools section and have had it
there for a long time but over the last week or so no matter what i do
it stays on Pending. Can you please look into that?

I've been getting the following message in webmaster tools for a few
days now:

"Our system experienced a temporary problem while accessing
verification data for some of your sites. Please try again later."

Some sites are saying they're verified but then aspects such as
choosing a preferred domain claims I need to verify the site?? Others
are saying they're not verified at all but then extra information as
if it's verified just fine.

Hi Jonathan,

Thx for starting this thread!

Right now I have problems with my new site www.classesdemer.eu, I
can't get it verified. (via HTML)

There are also problems with my site www.zeeklassen.eu (although the
system doens't say anymore it's not verified): I can't change the
preferred domain. (verification related issue)

Yesterday, all my sites showed up as unverified (but this seems to be
fixed)

Hi,
I am also suffering from the "Our system experienced a temporary
problem while accessing
verification data for some of your sites. Please try again later."
problem.

The url is

http://www.indexprocon.com

If this could be sorted I would be grateful.

You need to fix your <title> statement:

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.indexprocon.com%2F...

Just looked at the source.  Actually, you need to delete it.  You have
a valid <title> and then some abortion of a meta tag with the name
'title' that does nothing but break parsing of the head.  While you're
at it, get rid of:

<meta name="robots" content="INDEX, FOLLOW" />
<meta name="author" content="Chris Long - Index Procon Ltd" />
<meta name="revisit-after" content="10 days" />
<meta name="document-class" content="Completed" />
<meta name="document-classification" content="Engineering" />
<meta name="document-rights" content="Copyrighted Work" />
<meta name="document-type" content="Web Page" />
<meta name="document-rating" content="Safe for Kids" />
<meta name="document-distribution" content="Global" />
<meta name="document-state" content="Static" />
<meta name="cache-control" content="Public" />

revisit-after still makes me laugh.  Just when, FFS, is this hoary
ancient myth _ever_ going to die?

http://www.seoconsultants.com/meta-tags/revisit-after.asp is a good
account of it.  If I were to rewrite that today, I'd be a good bit
more scathing.

HI,

Thanks for the information I have removed the meta 'title' and
'revisit-after' tags but the others are used internally and are
required by my
management (some are used for internal search and tracking). The pages
now verifies okay on the w3c site. But I still get the same message:

"Our system experienced a temporary problem while accessing
verification data for some of your sites. Please try again later."

Any ideas?

Hi,
I am having a nervous breakdown over these verfication issues.  Two
days ago all 8 sites I have were verified but then I tried to remove
one from the Google index, now all need reverfication.  However it
says "Our system experienced a temporary problem while accessing
verification data for some of your sites. Please try again later." in
a pink warning across the top of my dashboard.
The sites in question are www.sukasem-bungalows.com/  www.spa-nepal.com/
www.samui-island-tour.com/
www.pet-supplies-uk.com/ www.jomtien-beach-accommodation.com/ www.bobflack.com/
www.albionapartments.com/
The only site that is verfied is www.spanepal.com and that is the site
I tried to remove from Google indexing since it now has a divert on it
to www.spa-nepal.com/.  Is there something I did myself or is there a
system problem?

I have verification issues with:
www.romedic.ro
http://forum.romedic.ro
http://dieta.romedic.ro
http://medicamente.romedic.ro
http://dictionar.romedic.ro

Also i have a problem with "Preferred domain". I want for my
subdomains to select preferred domain without "www" (right now are
both www and non-www) and for www.romedic.ro preferred domain just
with "www". The message was that I must realise verification for the
other alternative of them too(for instance: I need to do verification
for http://forum.romedic.ro and http://www.forum.romedic.ro). I don't
know how...because it is a single website...
I hope you understand my issue.
Thanks.

Hi all,

I took a look at the verification issues that were reported on this
thread and here's what I found for each case:

dfgonzalez - Your site was already verified when I checked.

bobming - The verification issues your report should now be resolved.

Ruben - www.classesdemer.eu is already verified, preferred domain is
currently set to be zeeklassen.eu

chrislgl - The verification issue you report should now be resolved.
www.indexprocon.com is currently showing as verified.

jamesedenborough - The two sites that aren't verified are currently
returning "404 Not Found" responses when I try to access their
associated HTML verification files. Add the HTML verification files to
these sites and retry verifying them. It should now work as expected.

bobflack  - In order to remove www.spanepal.com using the URL Removal
Tool, you need to add a robots.txt file that blocks the entire site.
Instructions on how to block your entire site with robots.txt can be
found here:
http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35302

raky - All sites are now verified and you should be able to select
your preferred domain settings.
