Subject: Site root page not in index - sign of a penalty?
Hi folks,

Website:www.backlesslingerie.com

I probably 'over optimised' this site towards the end of last year,
and fairly convinced it's been under a penalty since around March.

Recently after changing the content of the site, I issued a
reconsideration request - very detailed.

A couple of weeks later, the site shifted back to where I'd usually
expect to see it.

As of three days ago, traffic has dropped substantially again, and a
site: search shows the index page not in the index at all, whereas a
search for www.backlesslingerie.com returns the index page.

I've heard rumours here that this is indicative of a penalty. What do
you all think?

Hi Doc,

Since saturday when the supps went away there seems
to be quite a flux in the site:SERP's as well as general. SERPs.
Something seems to be going on so I wouldn't get too upset
just yet. Unless...

My feeling it has to do with links, maybe an algo change
that goes along with the "Supps" integration.

Many seem to be getting bit from outbound links and
possibly inbound links that may be seem as aquistioned
by site owners and or from "questionable neighborhoods"
Not that applies to you but I don't know the "qualifications".
That's just my read from what I'm seeing in the posts
and analysis.

Thanks abra for the update - I've been offline with regards to SEO
news over the last month or so.
