Thanks John. Don't know how I missed that - usually I'm good at
reading docs!

Hi PM
If a URL is marked as "removed" then it should not be shown in web-
searches on Google for the next 90 days. In general, if a URL is no
longer on your website, it will probably not be reincluded after those
90 days -- if it is, you can just request a removal again. The 90-day
limit is to help make sure that you do not accidentally remove content
from the search results permanently.
Thanks a ton - YOU ARE THE BEST GUY on the blog in terms of attitude
and responsiveness. I am sure all the blog users appreciate that.
Yes, the URL is marked REMOVED. I got that notification from Google on
Jan 19th, however I just did a search and the URL,cache and the
snippet still appears.
Could you please guide me why the REMOVED has not taken effect yet?
I can you send you the URL offline if you are kind enough to lok into
it.

Could you clarify the "probably" in your post ? If the page has been
removed from Google's index and no longer appears on the site when you
try to crawl it again, how could it be reincluded ?

The removal request must be distributed to all data centers around the
globe. I fear that there's no answer to your question. The throughput
John mentioned should be understood as "within 3-5 business days all
of Google's data centers will no longer show the removed URL on their
SERPs".
