Had to delete email account, forgot it was the one I used to login to the Webmaster Tools area, now I can't login. What can I do?
Hi all. Due to unrelenting Spam on one email account, I had to delete it. I forgot about it being the email login I used to sign into the G Webmaster Tools area, so now I can't login! What can I do about this? I'm sure if I try and create another account it will probably tell me "That domain already has an account" or something like that. Also, I'd probably have to go all through the verification process again and since so many are STILL having issues with that, it may never get "verified". Thanks. Randy
I do not know if this will work, can you re-create the email account you removed, with the same email address and password, and if you can log in, go to 'My Account' and change from there the email and password and after you check that it works with the new email and password delete again the old email address with spam?

No, that didn't work. It said the name is not available! That's not true because it's very rare, so apparently once someone has a Gmail account, no one can EVER get it again even if you delete it! Randy

That's what I'm afraid of, having to get a new tag and get verified again. These forums are full of threads regarding verification issues and with my luck it would get my site tanked. Randy
Cristina and Phil are right, you can just create a new Google account and verify your site in that account. FYI, whether or not your site is verified in Webmaster Tools has nothing to do with how well it ranks, so you don't need to worry about your site "tanking" before you get it reverified in your new account.

Hello, thanks for replying. Can all the accumulated data in some way be migrated over to the new account? I'd hate to lose all that because it takes months for it to show. Thank you, Randy
Hi Randy, as far as I know when you add a site to your account in Google Webmaster Tools and verify site ownership, you see the same stats you would have seen from your old account.
It might take a little while for all the stats to be collected again though.
Same as when you delete one site from an account and then you add it back again. It doesn't start out immediately with all the stats it had previously had. Been there, done that.

Hi Webado, What stats are you referring to? As far as I know, after you add a site to Google Webmaster Tools and verify site ownership you see the same stats as someone with an older account would see.

Hmmm, this is not what I experienced when I deleted a site and re- added it after a while. It took about a week to start collecting all the information again (keywords, page rank, errors). In that time it woudl say: informatin not available at thsi time. That was before the links had been added, so no idea if those would have been or not in there any way. Maybe it's been improved a lot lately.
