Subject: WARNING - Some URLs in the Sitemap have a high response time.
Dear all,

I just received the warning from Google:

Some URLs in the Sitemap have a high response time.
Some URLs listed in this Sitemap have a high response time. This may
indicate a problem with your server or with the content of the page.

URL:
Found:  http://www.ihoatieu.com/search/Nh%C3%A2n+s%E1%BB%B1.html
Jun 25, 2008

....I am not sure what's wrong with my sitemap or server...high
response time means my site is being hacked or crawled by someone else
by attacking this link in the sitemap or what? Or my server is damaged
by a virus or trojan? What should I do now?

Pls. advice me,

Thanks a lot,

neoxman

Google is saying it takes a while
to get the reported.

When trying the URL you provided it
took me 10-12 seconds to get the page.
That seems a bit on the long side for a
page only 28k in size.

Since the URL is a search query on your
site your server seems to lag while the
query is being processed and the page
sent to the requestor.

This is typically due to issues on the
web server itself where maybe it is
under heavy load and has a hard time keeping up.

In any case, May I ask why you are letting searches
on your site get indexed?

Google much prefers you just provide the
Page URL's and it will do the searching.

You may want to restrict onsite searches
on your site from being indexed.

BTW- This does seem like a relatively new warning and
just because you didn't get it before does not mean
it was not happening. Also this relates to the
page and not the sitemap.

Again, this is not a timeout but just a warning to alert
you to something you might want to check out,
Just as you did!

Hope that helps,
Abracadabra

Thanks Abracadabra for your quick response.

Now I understand the situation.

I will look at the server performance and optimize it as needed.

I will answer your concern about why I get my searches indexed:
Because I want my users get the result faster, they don't need to wait
too long while searching jobs on my site.

And we are updating the indexed searches everyday to make sure our
data is most updated.

neoxman

Hi Neoxman and welcome to the groups!

You might want to check your crawl rate graphs to see if you can spot
any periods of high latency. We moved them to the "Statistics"
section, under "Crawl stats." If you feel that we're crawling your
site too quickly, you could set the crawl rate to "Slower" instead of
"Normal."

Hope it helps!
John

Dear Abracadabra

I've read what you wrote about this issue, but I must say that you
ignored the error description, because maybe it is a problem of
content. I'm not sure but is it reasonable that Google team red the
content and didn't like what they red.
I've got the same error in www.slotstop.com and I still don't
understand why did I get this error. Actually the error referred to a
specific URL - http://www.slotstop.com/online-casinos/playtech/euro-grand-casino-rev....
If you have any clue about this issue and regarding the content I'll
be grateful

Thanks
Fortumania
