At first glance it seems that the instant benefit is the ability to
make public comments on a site. On the flip side someone could post
negative comments about your site.
I'm sure in the long run this information may be used to adjust
rankings but I'm sure google has to think about all the possible spam
tactics first and how they plan to counteract that.
Not sure how this would make spam tactics any more prevalent since it
only updates your results. Sure someone could push their sites up or
try to hurt your sites but since they are the only people who will
actually see it those efforts will be fruitless.

That's right, piloSEO. The changes done in SearchWiki are only for
your own rankings - not for other people's. There's no need to get
all your friends to click your site up :-).
That's not entirely correct, you can see everyone else comments just
by clicking "See all notes for this SearchWiki" at the bottom of your
search results.

1. ShadySeo set's up a Google Account for his client as a "service"
so that they can see the Google Webmaster Tools data, ShadySeo retains
clients Password, client logs into see his stats and remains logged
in.
2. ShadySeo periodically logs in under clients account to vote up
clients pages for searches.
3. Client is amazed at effectiveness of ShadySeo's improvements in
rankings.
